OCC Processing Center Trip 24

Ages: 13yrs old and Up

We will leave at approx 1:30 pm from NHBC in the NHBC bus and be back around midnight.
The volunteer work will be from 5:00 - 10:00 pm.

Please plan to pack your meal or we will be stopping for Fast food if time allows. Chick-fil-A has a table at the warehouse where you can purchase lunch and dinner if you wish also.

Dress to be comfortable working with shoes that are comfortable to stand in for a long period of time.
Also make sure to dress in layers it can be cold or hot in the warehouse depending on the location in the warehouse our group is stationed.

What can I expect when I come to volunteer?
Every volunteer in the processing center plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and successful delivery of the shoebox gifts. Volunteers form teams responsible for inspecting gifts, working with filler items, scanning labels, organizing shoeboxes by age and gender into designated cartons, and heavy lifting. Due to the fast-paced environment of the warehouse and changing needs, you may be asked to do different tasks during your shift. We appreciate your flexibility in advance!
